TechHub Talks

techhub-new.png

TechHub Talks provides a range of free talks in schools, inspiring today's youth to become tomorrow's IT Professionals.

TechHub Talks partners with schools across New Zealand to present inspiring tech professionals talking about the opportunities in tech.

These presentations dispel myths and misconceptions about the IT sector and encourage students to make subject choices to align themselves for further study or work in technology.

Our presenters reflect our communities. We have a good proportion of female, Māori and culturally diverse presenters, and aim to ensure all students can see themselves in our talks.

Over the course of four consecutive weeks students have the chance to experience up to four 30-minute presentations on the breadth and opportunities of the industry. These presentations are delivered through the personal experiences of two local IT practitioners (usually one technical and one non-technical), as well as a presentation from a local tertiary institute about potential education pathways.

The TechHub Talks presentations are versatile and can be tailored to classroom environments or to full school assemblies. Students are excited about the opportunities and often find new interest in further exploring the broad range of careers in Tech.

As with all TechHub programmes, TechHub Talks are FREE for schools.
